Tamweel… Roll up! Roll up!
As you walk through Canary Wharf, just opposite the 20ft rubber duck moored in West India Quay (yes you read that correctly), you will come across Fairgame! A unique and modern day twist on the fairground experience.
Tamweel advised the founders of Fairgame in securing £5m of growth capital from a combination of BGF and a consortium of private investors. The business was established by long standing Tamweel clients Richard Hilton, founder of Gymbox, and Paul Campbell, serial chair of private equity backed businesses in the leisure sector as well as renowned music industry lawyer Andrew Myers.
Fairgame is a highly immersive hospitality experience, with cutting-edge tech allowing guests the chance to compete and play a range of nostalgic fairground games. All of this whilst chowing down on delicious street food prepared by some of London’s best operators – the legendary Burger & Beyond, pizza maestros Rudy’s and masters of Mexican, Dos Mas Tacos.
And if that’s not enough there’s plenty of thirst quenching cocktails on offer, crafted by one of the world’s best mixologists, dished out from 3 separate bars alongside fairground favourites such as candy floss, toffee apples and pink teddy bears… this is an adult playground like no other.
Richard Hilton, Fairgame CEO said: “The fairground has been enjoyed by generations for decades, but nobody has modernised the experience. We’ve reinvented it for the 21st century, adding wristband technology, digital leader boards and some of the best food and drink London has to offer. Given our history of working with Tamweel and their expertise in the sector, they were our first port of call in seeking support and advice in our fundraising efforts.”
Adam Spencer, Tamweel co-founder said: “Fairgame is a hugely exciting addition to the stable of ground breaking competitive socialising brands emerging in the UK. Brands that are pioneering world class guest experiences and changing the way people go out and have fun. So if you fancy your chances of winning a five foot teddy, want to indulge in prosecco-infused candyfloss and play classic fairground games such as duck shooting, whack a mole and skeeball then this is the place for you. Get your skates on, check it out and let the games begin!”
