Tamweel… pulls a rabbit out of the hat!

Tamweel has advised hospitality trailblazer White Rabbit Projects in a multi-million pound fundraise backed by McWin.

White Rabbit was founded in 2016 by former Soho House commercial director Chris Miller. In just six years, it has established itself as one of the fastest growing hospitality businesses in the UK; with a unique platform that spans 52 sites, across multiple territories; including three of the best fast casual brands in the restaurant sector – legendary Italian deli Lina Stores, poké bowl evangelists Island Poké and Kricket – a culinary experience combining the best of British ingredients with the flavours and aromas of India. Alongside these brands it also operates White Rabbit Studios, a designer, developer and manager of bespoke hospitality venues for hotels and real estate developers.

White Rabbit is a rising star in the UK hospitality ecosystem, operating like a ‘tech incubator’, providing a combination of capital and back office support to the founders of next generation restaurant brands, helping them drive expansion, de-risking their growth and guiding them through international rollout.

The business has been backed by McWin, a sector specialist investor established by Henry McGovern and Steven K. Winegar, industry icons formerly of AmRest, the QSR giant. White Rabbit now joins a McWin portfolio that includes Gail’s and Impossible Foods.

Chris Miller, White Rabbit CEO said“Tamweel were fundamental to the success of this deal. Their dedication, attention to detail and tireless work ethic were the reason we were able to complete such an incredible deal in such a challenging market.”

Ali Aneizi, from Tamweel commented: “Chris and his team have built an awesome platform that’s going to change the way operators and investors approach growth in hospitality. In a tough backdrop the combination of multiple brands, flexible formats, an international footprint and a truly omni channel revenue model gives the business a real edge. And now with the financial muscle of McWin behind them they’re locked and loaded to fuel the next chapter of this incredible journey.”
