- Ali Aneizi
Ali was formerly an M&A and Private Equity partner at RSM, where he spent 18 years working in their London deal doing team. During that time he established RSM’s Leisure & Hospitality practice and played a leading role in building the firm’s presence within the UK’s private equity community.
Ali has spent the last 24 years working on mid-market deals; providing sell side and capital raising advice to owner managed, founder led and private equity backed businesses. During that time Ali developed a love for consumer facing and brand led businesses. And after many years of advising founders he was bitten by the entrepreneurial bug and established Tamweel; an independent M&A and investment advisory boutique that’s obsessed with putting its clients first. Whilst at Tamweel, Ali and his team have led and completed several land mark deals with some of the UK’s most exciting and high growth challenger brands. These include businesses such as: Gymbox backed by BGF, Frame backed by Piper, Swingers backed by Cain International and Ten Health & Fitness backed by Foresight. Ali’s mission is to continue working with the best consumer facing businesses, securing his clients the best deals and establishing Tamweel as the ‘go to’ advisor for the best challenger brands in the market.
- Adam Spencer
Adam is a highly experienced deal doer, having spent 15 years advising founders of and investors in UK mid-market challenger brands.
Before joining Tamweel Adam was a deal leader in RSM’s M&A and Private Equity team based in London. He has spent his career advising shareholders of mid-market businesses on how best to realise value or raise capital from strategic buyers and private equity investors. Adam has worked with challenger brands across a wide range of consumer verticals, from Swingers (competitive socialising pioneer), through to Direct Ferries (online travel leader) and Benugo (great coffee & food). He is passionate about meeting and supporting inspiring entrepreneurs, and understanding exactly what makes great brands tick.
- Ben Merrifield
Ben has a great mix of deal doing experience, having worked in mid-market corporate finance advisory, large cap cross border Private Equity and UK / Irish SME investing; with a particular focus on the leisure, hospitality and the health & fitness space.
Ben was formerly a Partner at Causeway Capital, a lower mid-market UK / Irish Private Equity fund; and before that he spent seven years at GI Partners, a $3bn trans-atlantic Private Equity fund focussed on real estate backed businesses. Here, he held board positions with several pub and bar businesses and was heavily involved in the Orchid Group, a 300 unit managed pub estate. Ben began his career in 2003 at Hawkpoint (now part of Canaccord Genuity), a leading investment banking advisory business where he focussed on the mid-market fashion retail industry.
