Tamweel has advised on a £5.5 million, private equity raise for Farmer J, the ‘farm to fork‘ restaurant group.
With £18m of revenues, generated across 10 London sites, Farmer J is fast becoming a ‘one to watch’ in the sector. Founded by Jonathan Recanati and backed by sector specialist investors Imbiba & Edition Capital in 2019 and 2023 respectively. The business was established on the principles of providing fresh, wholesome, sustainable food and has gained itself a loyal following of customers with regular lunchtime queues snaking past its doors.
Tamweel advised Farmer J on all aspects of the raise with financing provided by Beringea, a best in class UK & US growth investor. Funding will be used to accelerate its UK and international rollout with five new sites planned for 2024.
