Tamweel has advised on a multi-million pound growth capital raise for Fairgame – the award winning entertainment concept that is re-imagining the fun and thrills of the fair. Blending classic fairground games that are designed and manufactured in house, with a tech enabled system that allows scores to be tracked and displayed on digital leaderboards, Fairgame offers up a fresh and competitive twist on old school nostalgia. Throw in some themed cocktails, knockout street food served in an immersive interior, and you have a winning formula for the ultimate social experience.
With £12m of revenues and £4.4m of site EBITDA generated in its first year… Fairgame has established itself as one of the leading concepts in the fast-moving world of competitive socialising
Tamweel advised the business on all aspects of its capital raise, with financing provided by HSBC. Funds raised will be used to launch a new venue in the City of London, as well as push ahead with US expansion, where multiple locations are already in the works, with talks also underway for international franchising.
Richard Hilton, Fairgame Founder and CEO, said: “We have ambitious growth plans and this raise marks a key step in realising those plans. I’ve lost count of the number of times I’ve worked with Tamweel. I go back because I trust them to deliver. They provide thoughtful advice, a no nonsense approach to deal doing and sector insights direct from the frontline.”
Ali Aneizi, from Tamweel, commented: “Fairgame is one of those rare businesses that combines a fantastic idea, that has mass appeal, with excellent execution. The results are a clever format, a lucrative business model and a growth opportunity with global potential.”
